Pella Counseling's Mission
To provide professional counseling services characterized by therapeutic excellence and Christian compassion.

Our Core Values
  • Professionalism - to exhibit the highest degree of professionalism by providing care that values confidentiality, discretion, personal and individualized treatment, integrity, financial responsibility, and responsiveness.

  • Quality of care - to use counseling approaches that have demonstrated effectiveness, are considered “gold standard” in the field of psychology, and are executed with skill born out of quality training and experience.
Picture
  • Relational - to prioritize the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client: to exhibit warmth and compassion, to respond with wisdom, to enter deeply into the challenges and pain of living, to demonstrate empathy, to speak truthfully, and to offer practical skills for managing life's difficulties.

  • Distinctively Christian perspective - to engage in therapy practice that is informed by Christian faith, Scripture, and the tradition of soul care.  We seek to integrate our training in theology with psychology in a way that benefits our clients who are seeking faith-based counseling but also in a manner that respects people of all beliefs and backgrounds.

  • Community focus - to foster collegiality, coordination, cooperation, and engagement with churches, schools, organizations, medical providers, and other mental health professionals in our community.
